WORKING FROM HOME
When the pandemic hit in 2020, many people were forced to work from home. For many organisations this has worked as an advantage, cutting back business costs etc.. and even though we are out of lockdown, many are still utilizing either permanent home working or hybrid between home & office. This scenario is especially common in telesales. I have found that many times when I have phoned an customer services employee, I have been asked to hold the line because, "I'm working from home & my computer is playing up." This creates delays which can cause productivity problems both for the service provider & client with the enquiry or issue. Sometimes the employee is using outdated or faulty equipment that either needs replacing, repairing, updating or just needs a good servicing to get things moving properly.
